The
45 minute drive to Medana Beach along the western coastal road with
its numerous sandy bays and original Sasak fishing villages is regarded
as one of the most scenic tours in Indonesia. The Resort is situated
above the white sandy coral beaches on Medana Peninsula, close to
the Gili islands. Here you can watch the sunrise over the spectacular
mountain range of Rinjani.
From the same spot you will also see
the fascinating sunset over Medana Bay, the Ocean and Bali's majestic
Volcano Mt. Agung as background. Medana is centrally located to
the waterfalls in the north, Senggigi, Lombok's Tourism hub in the
south, the ocean and Gili's to the west and the mountain range of
Pusuk pass/ monkey forest in the east. Your
70sqm two room villa features marble throughout. The handcarved
kingsize bed is equipped with romantic princess curtains.
The rooms
are tastefully decorated with Balinese and Lombok style art and
original paintings Individually controlled air-conditioned, stocked
bar fridge, oversized sunken bathtub in a lavish bathroom with extra
private outside garden and second shower add to the class. No TV
(on purpose). On request TV's with VCD player and current movies
are for hire. The landscaped large swimming pool
is regarded as one of the best in Lombok and Bali.
Adjoining is
a white sand beach area with rustic beach umbrellas, a waterfall
and a traditional Sasak Beruga (Thatched open sided hut) built into
in the pool. Enjoy your meals in a romantic all wood open plan restaurant,
with magnificent views over the coconut plantations and the sea.
The menu ranges from pool snacks to International or local culinary
delights of high standard. A well equipped bar complement the setting.
Drinks are also served in the shallow water (25 cm) of the pool
beach area, which is protected from the sun by big beach umbrellas.
There you can meet, relax,sip a cocktail and truly forget about
the rest of the world...
A
glass bottom boat for excursions over the coral reef, snorkeling
and fishing at day or night is ready for use. The adventurer can go out with our traditional
style outrigger sailing boat, visiting the islands or just trailing
a fishing line. Because of currents and local wind conditions an
experienced fisherman will guide you. The Lombok strait between
Lombok and Bali is up to 11000 feet deep and rich in fish - It is
not uncommon to return with tuna, snapper or barracuda of over 20
kg weight.
